Joshua Lascar

Joshua Lascar is an award-winning composer and guitarist based in Cardiff, UK. He also works as a part-time composer’s assistant for Jordan Rees, a freelance curator for Lightsong Media Group, and as an external advisor to the Arts Council of Wales. He has studied under world-class artists such as Gilad Hekselman, and has performed live on BBC Radio Wales and Sofar Sounds.

Internationally, he has performed in venues such as the Berklee Performance Center, for HRH The Prince of Wales in his Llwynywermod Residence, the Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall, Cardiff Castle and the Welsh Parliament.

Joshua graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2021 with a first class honours in Jazz Guitar. He received the Principal’s Award for Music, for valuable contribution to the college. For excellent musicianship, he was also awarded The Musician’s Company 2021 Silver Medal Award.
